The clients were living in a house on the property and wanted to develop their large site in Te Atatu Peninsula by subdividing and building a new house in the back yard.

The new house needed to respect the existing house and its neighbours, retain trees on the site, be double storied to take up less footprint, and encompass a simple but sophisticated design.
